Fantasy Golf One and Done

The One and Done format is tricky given you have to optimize each player to the best of his abilities – picking a hot hand in a tournament that fits a player’s skills better than most. We’ll do our best all year long to help you choose the right player at the right time.

The list of contenders are:

  • Already used –
    • Patrick Reed
    • Charley Hoffman
    • Ryan Palmer
  • Saving for later –
    • Rickie Fowler
    • Jim Furyk
  • Final options –
    • Brendan Steele – it’s really a Leishman vs. Steele matchup; better course fit
    • Adam Hadwin – no course history makes him too much of a risk
    • Marc Leishman – better WGR than Steele, worse course fit
    • Justin Thomas – do we ever really trust Thomas? Not really.

Our choice this week will be Marc Leishman. We’re taking him over Steele because we think he has the higher probability of nabbing a victory this week though we like both players.
