Group A

Group B
Group C
Round 4 (Sun)
Start: Haas (8*)
Bench: Reed (10)
Start: Howell III (9*)
Start: Simpson (10)
Bench: Molinari (9*)
Start: Dufner (10)
Notes:
  • Thoughts: Congrats to Hadwin and his 59! It covered a lot of sins for many fantasy golfers out there since you had to card a 4-under par just to get points on the board on Yahoo. Thankfully we had Molinari (-6) and Haas (-4) to hop a few people on the day.
  • Sunday Weather: they are moving up the tee times and going off both tees on Sunday to try to avoid some rainy and cold weather expected starting around 10am – so it’s likely to be cold (40s/50s) and the back half of the round could deal with some rain. Wind doesn’t appear to be an issue.
  • Group A: Sticking with Haas as we’d like to preserve Reed starts for when he’s actually in contention later in the year.
  • Group B: Howell III is a logical start at the Stadium course. Both Simpson and Molinari played poorly here earlier this week but both carded 66s on other courses on Saturday. We’ll take Simpson on Sunday given his better fit here.
  • Group C: Dufner made the cut, Zach did not, so we’re going with Dufner. Folks with ZJ/Grillo are hoping another guy cards a 59 on Sunday to minimize the damage of two missed cuts.
  • Course Scoring Averages (first two days): La Quinta = 69.9, TPC Stadium = 71.3, Nicklaus = 70.3
