2014 DP World Tour Championship

It’s the final week of the Fantasy Race to Dubai, and given we’re in the final 400 playing for the Championship this week, we’ll have to disguise our picks slightly so we’re not giving out our actual top 10 or star player. Therefore, we’ll post our top 5 (in random order) and our next 10 (also in random order). Of course, we’ll give you their recent stats to help you make your own decisions (as always). Best of luck and see you next season!

Top 5
Sergio Garcia (25) Turkish Airlines
(28) HSBC
(2) CIMB
(9) Tour Champ.
Has not been trending the right way recently, but he made a nice comeback in Turkey to register a top 25.
Top 5
Rory McIlroy (2) Dunhill Links
(2) Tour Champ.
(8) BMW PGA
(5) Deutsche Bank
Tied up with legal issues the past few weeks but his Race to Dubai lead proved insurmountable. It also proved a very dull end to the year in terms of who would win the title. Will he be rusty, distracted, disinterested? Your guess is as good as mine. Finished 5th here last year.
Top 5
Henrik Stenson (3) Turkish Airlines
(24) HSBC
(23) BMW PGA
(26) Deutsche Bank
Surprised us last week with a top 3. He won here last year and he’s obviously close and should contend this week.
Top 5
Graeme McDowell (3) HSBC
(16) BMW Masters
(36) BMW PGA
(38) Barclays
Will his HSBC disappointment motivate him this week?
Top 5
Alexander Levy (11) Turkish Airlines
(14) HSBC
(2) BMW Masters
(1) Portugal Masters
Levy had an incredible season and the fun should continue this week.
Next 10
Victor Dubuisson (15) Turkish Airlines
(78) HSBC
(21) BMW Masters
(2) ISPS Handa
Was HSBC a fluke? Victor bounced back nicely in Turkey, although he started off slow. Finished 3rd here last year.
Next 10
Stephen Gallacher (15) Turkish Airlines
(24) HSBC
(36) BMW Masters
(32) Dunhill Links
Solid but probably not a contender to win this week.
Next 10
Romain Wattel (11) Turkish Airlines
(6) BMW Masters
(4) Portugal Masters
(MC) Dunhill Links
He’s finishing strong.
Next 10
Marcel Siem (8) Turkish Airlines
(48) HSBC
(1) BMW Masters
(21) Portugal Masters
It’s hard to predict where Marcel will finish week to week but he’s definitely in the groove.
Next 10
Louis Oosthuizen (14) HSBC
(6) Dunhill Links
(MC) Barclays
(15) PGA Champ.
Nice finish to his season so far.
Next 10
Lee Westwood (8) Turkish Airlines
(20) HSBC
(13) CIMB
(12) Frys.com Open
Lee needs the Ryder Cup inspiration every year. Finished 5th here last year.
Next 10
Justin Rose (48) HSBC
(4) BMW Masters
(4) Tour Champ.
(35) BMW PGA
Just when you think he’s off his game, he gets two straight top 4’s; then he shoots himself out of the HSBC early. He’s always a threat to put it all together. Finished 10th here last year.
Next 10
Jamie Donaldson (19) Turkish Airlines
(24) HSBC
(4) BMW Masters
(4) Wales Open
Cooled slightly recently but still playing great. Finished 8th here last year.
Next 10
Ian Poulter (2) Turkish Airlines
(6) HSBC
(48) BMW Masters
(23) Deutsche Bank
It’s a shame Poulter didn’t pull off the victory in Turkey, but he’s reestablishing himself as a fantasy stud. Finished 2nd here last year.
Next 10
Brooks Koepka (1) Turkish Airlines
(48) BMW Masters
(4) Shriners Hospitals
(8) Frys.com Open
Congratulations to Brooks! Incredible victory. Could he go back-to-back to finish off the European Tour season? Probably not, but three top 10s in his last 4 makes him a threat to do just that.
#16
Emiliano Grillo (11) Turkish Airlines
(8) BMW Masters
(21) Portugal Masters

(7) Portugal Masters
#18

(MC) Frys.com Open
